About Me

Taking responsibility seriously is what I strongly believe in. I have over 14 years experience in Internal Audit, my attention to detail and to complying with regulations that affect the well-being of a corporation, society and country is of paramount importance to me.

I have come to this site looking for the proper way to dispose of a blackberry battery, and here I am, searching if there is a harzardous waste management site in Bahrain that collects material that fall under this category. Unfortunately, I discovered that we do not have such a site, but I hope that, by documenting my concern, we will soon have one.

About Me

Moved to Bahrain from Australia with my husband on the 28th July 09, so very new to the Island. Mother of a 19 yr old daughter, who is  about to embark on University studies back in Australia.

I am a keen recycler, and have been recycling in Australia for many years. I brought my own shopping bags from Australia so that I didnt need to use plastic ones. I am keen to get back into recycling now that I am living in Bahrain... just cant stand the waste and cant wait to go to my first drop off point...

About Me

Well, I am a German mother of five and married to a Bahraini. Many things changed over the past 25 years on our little, but still to recycle is still a big job. As Jameela I was brought up with recycling. Years ago we would take our stuff to containers near Jawad in Sanad, but they are long gone. My raw left overs/scaps are going into my compost boxes. My grinded eggshells all over my little garden and pot plants. Papers to the local school, well and now I hope to bring my plastic bottles and glas to the containers next to Osra.

I am not going to give up and keep trying to recycle and spread the news as much as I can.
